BMW X3 is a model very important for the German car manufacturer. The brand has been around for a long time working on the new generation. Now, two new SUV mules have been intercepted during a road test session. Both cars have internal combustion engines. These are not, therefore, forklifts of the future iX3 electric version.
Speaking of the electric model, it seems that the future BMW iX3 will have of the new Neue Klasse platform designed specifically for battery-powered cars. The endothermic model, however, should continue to use the CLAR platform. For the moment, however, there is no precise information. We will probably know more about this topic over the next few months. Returning to the two forklifts of the future new generation of the BMW X3, we can note that one of the two prototypes has large rims and red brake calipers. It is probably a model equipped with the M Sport package.
The two forklifts, obviously, are still camouflaged with films and artificial elements to hide the details of the new design. From what we can see, style of the new SUV It shouldn’t differ too much from that of the current model. The kidney grille will continue to be large but will not reach the XXL dimensions seen on some models from the German automaker. New headlights should also arrive up front. Apparently, however, BMW will not offer split headlights on the new SUV as seen on the new 7 Series.
As for the interior, the spy photo they don’t show them. However, we will certainly find a board dominated by BMW Curved Display. The infotainment system is expected to feature the latest generation of the iDrive platform. As for the engines of the new BMW X3, under the hood we will probably find Mild Hybrid and Plug-in units. The new BMW iX3, however, if the use of the Neue Klasse platform is confirmed, will be able to count on a new generation powertrain.
