- The Apple Watch Ultra 2 costs 100 euros less than the first
- The price of the Apple Watch Series 9 is lower than that of the Series 8 (- 50 euros)
- The second generation Apple Watch SE loses 20 euros compared to the first generation
Last night took place the last Apple keynote. We were then able to discover the new prices of the brand’s connected watches, and the drop is there. So, the Apple Watch Series 9 “only” costs 449 euros compared to 499 euros for the Apple Watch Series 8, still 50 euros less or almost 10% reduction. With this, the Apple Watch SE is also cheaper: count 279 euros today, compared to 299 euros previously. Finally, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 loses 100 euros compared to the Apple Watch Ultra 1: the price is 899 euros From now on.
These figures are not without echoing the similar drops experienced by the iPhone 15compared to the iPhone 14. The base model of the smartphone is thus sold for only 969 euros, compared to 1,019 euros for an iPhone 14. With this, the iPhone 15 Pro Max in 1 TB loses 150 euros compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max with the same storage capacity.
Choose your Apple Watch wisely
With three collections now available in the Apple Store, it can be difficult to see clearly the Apple Watch side. The second generation Apple Watch SE therefore remains the most affordable, but it is also the least provided in terms of technical sheet: neither blood oximeter nor S9 processor are included. These two components are, however, integrated under the hood of the Apple Watch Ultra, which is the most efficient of all the Apple company’s connected watches and even allows it to follow you by climbing up to 8,000.
The Apple Watch Series 9, for its part, presents itself as better value for money with its price of only 449 euros, therefore. Here, the heart rate sensor and the thermometer are present, as are fall detection, accident detection or even watchOS 10 operating system. Many new features are available with this major update, particularly for cycling or hikers.
What about the competition?
Faced with the new Apple Watch, Google also offers the Pixel Watch with two gigabytes of RAM and thirty-two gigabytes of internal storage. The device can record electrocardiograms, like the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra. But it is Android (Wear OS) which powers the beast, with of course access to the Play Store.
Finally, let us also cite the case of Samsung, which with the Galaxy Watch 6 offers a device waterproof up to fifty meters deep and with an always-on screen. Base price: only 319 euros.
