A new subscription plan has been set up, with a light brand priced at 500 yen per month and a premium plan priced at 3,000 yen per month.
light plan
The Lite plan is a plan that costs 500 yen per month and offers a 100 yen discount on each ride. The service is aimed at users who use it relatively infrequently, such as those who go out on the weekends or go to the gym several times a week.
Premium plan
The premium plan is “3,000 yen per month and the first 30 minutes of each ride is free”. It is aimed at users who use it particularly frequently, such as when commuting to work.
For both plans, discounts can be applied any number of times during the plan period. Additionally, if the usage time exceeds 30 minutes, usage fees for the excess amount will be charged.
For subscriptions, an advance trial plan will be available for purchase from within the LUUP app from November 1st, with an official release scheduled for December onwards. The advance trial is a one-month purchase plan and does not renew automatically.
Areas eligible for subscription are Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagoya, and Hiroshima. Utsunomiya and other areas are excluded.
On Luup, we received comments such as “I wish rides of 10 minutes or more were a little cheaper,” “(If I charged per minute) it would be difficult to take a detour to a convenience store,” and “I would like it to be easier to use for commuting to work or school.” Due to the large number of customers, we decided to introduce a new rate plan.
