Kodi 21, codenamed “Omega”, is the next major version update of the popular, alternative multimedia home theater software. Now, after months, there is a new preliminary version, which is considered an important milestone.
Still unknown changes for new Kodi Alpha
However, the changelog for the update has not yet been published, so it is difficult to say whether the third alpha version of Kodi 21 will add new features.
But the developers have already announced one thing: “The Alpha 3 pre-release build is available now because we think it is ready for wider testing and use. This also means that we are getting closer to a stable version of v21.” (via Beta News).
The first alpha version of Kodi 21 was released at the beginning of the year. It is still unclear whether the development will be completed this year. A number of new features and improvements have already been introduced in the first two major updates. Now, according to its own information, the Kodi Foundation has taken a big step forward. Many changes also bring problems
