Normally, when we think of a smart bracelet, the first that comes to mind is Xiaomi’s Mi Band, a very successful model for more than a decade but which is beginning to fall behind in terms of functions, although it continues to sell very well. well because it is simply a very affordable option.
However, Xiaomi has other smartbands much more complete, and one of them is one of my favorites when they ask me for a recommendation. It is the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro and above all I like it because it combines the best of a bracelet with the best of a smart watch, and now It costs only 55 euros on Amazon, which is not bad at all.
The key is that The screen is much larger than that of its smaller sisters, almost like that of a smartwatch, but nevertheless maintains a battery life of several weekswhich is precisely the Achilles heel of smart watches, which are several days old at best.
The price is lower than almost any smartwatch from a well-known brand, and in terms of features it is everything that most people may need: notifications, steps, calories, heart rate and even blood oxygen.
As expected, it does not have GPS, although to measure walking, running and even cycling you can connect it to the mobile’s GPS, as do all smartwatches that do not have it either but count among their functions quantifying outdoor exercises.
Beyond all that, There are two more things we loved when we tested it for review: the ultralight design and the screenwhich is incredibly bright and looks in perfect condition even in full sun.
It is far from common for affordable devices like this to have such a clear and high-quality screen, but it does, and it is greatly appreciated because sometimes it is difficult to distinguish the text when there is a lot of light. On the other hand, you barely notice that you are wearing it because it weighs little and is very thin, an important plus if you are one of those who avoids quite bulky and heavy watches.
A more or less similar model and with a somewhat lower price is the Huawei Band 8, which also has a giant screen despite being a bracelet and that It costs only 39 euros.
As is the case with practically all shipments that Amazon makes, at least those that go beyond 35 euros, there is no additional cost because it is the store that assumes all expenses, even if you do not have a Prime account.
