The application Google messages is improving the detection of spam and scams with a new multi-country folder, a folder that, so to speak, will move all fraudulent messages that come from outside our country of residence and that we do not have added to contacts.
We receive a multitude of fraudulent messages on Google messages practically daily, and although the application notifies us when one of these messages is spam or directly fraudulent, they want to improve this detection of this type of messages.
Right now, Google Messages alerts us with a warning on the screen every time we open a message that has been marked as spam.
To prevent us from being victims of this type of messages and falling into scams, they are going to be brand new a new categorization folder that will house messages from unknown numbers coming from abroad.
This new folder may be enabled by default, although you can disable it at any time. You will have the option to manually mark messages as international if the system misses them, or move them to the inbox if you consider it not spam.
These spam messages that come from abroad will not trigger a notification on the mobile phoneand to read them you will have to manually access the corresponding folder that has been created in the Google messages application.
We will see if this feature definitively reaches the stable version of Google messages, and how we can customize it so that there are no errors in this regard with filtering.
